Grabber Orange invades VIR!

It's always fun to watch a group of car enthusiest with something in common get together.  If you've ever been to a Corvette fest, or watched a group for Corvairs do a cruise though your town, you
know what I mean.

But there is no closer knit and tighter group than the Grabber Orange Mustang group of car fanatics. For example, recently a BOGO (Brotherhood of Grabber Orange) announced that they were going to have an informal get-together at their house over the weekend, and the next thing you know, two BOGOs drive in from PA, one from VA, one from OH, two from IN, two from WI, and four from their
home state of IL were there to instantly make it a mini-BOGO rally.  Every year, usually in Pennsylvania, over 60 Grabber Orange Mustang owners gather annually for the largest of the Grabber rallies.  While one Grabber Orange Mustang may be a site, two (or more) is a parade!

So it was not a complete suprise that when David "DJ" Jans announced that his brand new Tony Ave Racing built World Information Systems Trans-Am car was going to be Grabber Orange, and that he would be at VIR for round three of the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series, three BOBOs decided to drive down and join in on the fun.  E. Mike Durbin drove his Grabber Orange GT500 down from Itasca, IL, Scott Insley drove his Grabber Orange GT/CS from Sterling Virginia, and  Stan drove his Grabber Orange Mustang down from Gibbsboro, New Jersey.  All members of grabberorange.net.

Unfortunately, DJ dropped out of the race with only 7 laps left resulting in an 11th place finish.  But everyone had fun, he continues his quest for BOBO pride by pursuing rookie of the year honors at the end of the Trans-Am season -- and hopefully, a bunch of BOGOs will be watching.

The Tony Racing team is planning a mini Grabber Orange rally at Road America in August.  Look for more information posted on the Trans-Am Facebook page when the details are announced.
